Tala & Tremithousa

Located around 4km east of Paphos, the twin villages of Tala and Tremithousa are growing more and more popular as places in which to purchase Cypriot real estate.

Tala offers beautiful views across Paphos and the Cypriot coast, and is located close to the monastery of Agios Neofytos, which dates back to the twelfth century.  Life in Tala centres around the town square, with several bars and restaurants, as well as tavernas offering local food and wines.  With local shops and banks nearby, Tala has everything one needs.  Next to Mesogi, Tremithousa is slightly north-east of Paphos town.  The quiet village contains a number of bars and restaurants, as well as everything you’ll need for day to day life and numerous places of historical interest.  Property prices in the area are low compared to Britain, and the cost of living is also lower.  Properties in Tala and Tremithousa which are bought in order to rent to tourists tend to offer a very good return on investment.

Being so near to Paphos means that, should one tire of the quite, relaxing day to day life of Tala and Tremithousa, a short journey will find you right in the centre of the action, in Paphos.  Other areas of interest include the numerous historical and archaeological delights to be found in and around the two villages.

Both Tala and Tremithousa, like the rest of Cyprus, have long, hot summers, and mild winters, with very short spring and autumn seasons.   With approximately 340 days of sunshine each year, buying property in Cyprus may be the perfect solution to the rain in Britain.

The easiest way to reach the area will be by flying to Paphos international airport.  The airport serves over half a million people each year, and is conveniently located on the outskirts of Paphos, fairly near to Tala and Tremithousa.

A three bedroom house in Tala might cost between £200,000 and £400,000, depending on the area, so it’s worth shopping around for the best prices when buying property in Tala and Tremithousa.  House prices in Tremithousa are far cheaper, with many properties remaining below £100,000, although it’s still worth shopping around to find your ideal property.
